I`m Stessy and I have been teaching English for almost three years. I have taught English to smaller kids, elementary school kids, high schoolers as well as adults. I`m pretty much comfortable teaching people in different age groups.
I speak English, Japanese and my own native language.
I get tons of questions from learners on how they could improve their English skills. I would say, mastering a language doesn`t happen in a course of a a month or a year. It`s a long and complex process and over time you gradually acquire the skills.
Thus, you gotta be persistent to see results.
My advice is, stop setting unrealistic goals. Stop memorizing vocabularies in your dictionary. Don`t focus too much on grammar. Instead, start THINKING in ENGLISH. Learn expressions that you think are useful for you. Expose yourself with anything english. And don`t be afraid to make mistakes when you speak. Making mistakes is a great way of learning.
