I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself and how I can help you improve your English skills.
My name is Jonas. I'm twenty two years old and have been in Japan for a little over four months. I initially came to Japan earlier this year for a period of three months and decided to come back for my interest and love of the culture, the language and the people.
I decided to pursue a career in teaching English in Japan, due to my passion for the English language, and my desire to immerse myself in Japan, and all it has to offer, thus getting the best of both worlds.
I have previously taught English to my fellow students in High School for a period of four years, which consisted of helping them with their homework and building their vocabulary and confidence when speaking the language, as well as helping them correct common grammar and pronunciation mistakes.
I am a very outgoing, friendly and patient person, who believes the best way to learn a new language is to engage as student and teacher verbally, in daily conversation, and build on the basics you have acquired from school.
Where you can learn the basic structure of the language from your school, I can on the other hand help you learn how to use the language in normal conversation, be it with a friend, a stranger or in a business setting. Since the key to actually learning the language is to speak it. And where my role is, is to help to grow your vocabulary and make you sound more natural and fluent in your speech. I have also a wide knowledge of different accents, idioms and slang, to help you understand different kinds of English, as well as help you use them yourself.
I’d like for us to create a unique lesson plan that suits your needs for the English language perfectly, whatever your ambition for learning may be. And together help create the best service for you possible.
