Hello! My name is Christine. You can call me “Tin” for short. I am a Filipino. I was born and raised in the Philippines, but I am currently living here in Japan. Having graduated with a degree in Physics, I worked as a software engineer for the past 7 years, but now, I am pursuing a career in education, particularly, teaching English to kids and young adults. Formal teaching as a profession is quite new to me, but I have done private tutoring for high school level math and science before. I also got involved in outreach programs back in college wherein we shared stories with kids and played with them as well. My more recent experiences include private English lessons, as well as participating as a staff in conversations being held in an English café.
I have good interpersonal relations, and I am easy to get along with. On a lighter note, I love playing the piano and the guitar, as well as singing and listening to music. I enjoy traveling, photography, and am amazed and captivated by nature's wonders.
Moving people through teaching is one of my dreams in life. I hope I will be able to help you learn English in the style and method that you prefer and which suits you best. I know basic Japanese, Mandarin, and Fookien, so if it would aid you, we can incorporate use of your native language into our lessons. I look forward to meeting you! Let us learn from each other in an enjoyable, relaxed, and natural way.
