Hello, Guten Tag, こんにちは。
You probably want to know why I teach German and/or English?
I am a person who has a personal interest in different countries.
Although I did and do not learn languages easily. I always thought I need to speak and understand a language perfectly before I can say anything to a person from an other country. But working together with people from various countries I soon realised, the most important point of conversations is to say something at all and nearly everyone will try to reply or understand you. The more I tried to speak the more I was able to have conversations with my colleagues. This experience helped me to manage working for 7 years in the United Kingdom and now for 10 years living in Japan.
I want to make language learning as much interesting and fun as possible. To achive that . I like to use materials, that initiate students talk about their interests for example music, singing, magazines, news, hobbies. But of course working from text books is helpful for basic understanding of relaed grammer points. Grammar and repeat key phrase exercises are important to build a natural basic conversation knowledge. But to continue using the expressions that have been practised are then the most important task to succeed turning you into a fluent language speaker. Once you tell meyour needs I am of course flexible to teach according to the students individual needs.
German is a very flexible language and different dialects make German very interesting. Because folk songs in German and English teach us culture and provide very good conversational
material for example, I really enjoy to use them for lessons.
I offer 8 years of high school English education.
13 years of practical English experience in various environments and locations and
7 years of teaching science topics in English.
Since more than 9 years I am teaching conversational English, additionally 2 years Logic and Expression classes at prefectural high schools, and since nearly 11 years German.
