Konichiwa! I'm Katrina but you can call me Bambi. Bambi is my nickname from the Italian word "Bambina" which means "Baby Girl" because I am my Sofu's first grandchild.
FOR STARTERS: We can try to practice by understanding your favorite English songs (like Katy Perry's Fireworks or Demi Lovato's Skyscraper) and learning words from them and use these words in other contexts. I also plan that we walk around our learning area and talk as we see things--it's easier to remember words when tied to experiences. We can also go to museums, Chinatown, or other sites, to learn while having fun!
FOR NON-BEGINNERS: We can read together some young adult books or novels in English (preferably those familiar with you like Chronicles of Narnia, Fault in the Stars, Looking for Alaska, Perks of Being a Wallflower), and study sentence construction, grammar, and accent, while understanding the story.
Let me explore the Japan culture with you as you learn English with me! Learning is more fun as you share the best things about your country. I write stories for children (already won a UNESCO award) and I teach children so I can surely make English learning easy, fun, and creative!
