I have 1 year of experience teaching students of many different abilities: mostly 1 on 1 to working professionals and university students, business and conversational English, and helping with translation.
Before coming to Japan I taught art workshops at a museum and coached high school students for exams in England. I came to Japan on a Working Holiday Visa to learn about Japanese culture and textile crafts, and to enjoy this beautiful country, and stayed 1 year.
I think the most important thing learning a language is to feel confident, so I hope to help you increase your confidence and enjoy speaking English. I sometimes teach structured lessons but also do free conversation, or use films, music and books. All levels are welcome! If you have a specific goal (e.g. you need English for work, or TOEFL test preparation) just let me know :)
If you have never tried Skype lessons before, I encourage you to give it a try!
I am familiar with both USA and UK English spelling and slang, and am happy to help advise you about living in either UK or USA, or studying abroad.
