名前はアキと呼んでください！アメリカ生まれの英語ネイティブで、両親も日本人なので難なくどちらの言語で話せます。中学校までアメリカにおり、高校生から大学まで日本におり、現在に至ります。大学での勉強の傍らに、ある留学系の会社で英語を教えるバイトをし、具体的には業務委託で他企業の社員クラスを指導したり、TOEIC対策の英語クラスを持ったり、ワーホリ対策の英語なども教えておりました。
【英語の資格】
英検１級（１２歳取得）、TOEIC 980/990
【趣味】
言語学習（オランダ語、イタリア語、ドイツ語、ロシア語、フランス語、中国語）、武術（太極拳、空手など）、そしてアニメです。JPOPも洋楽も好きです。
特に言語学習は、いろんな国の方とお付き合いをさせていただいた経験があり、日常会話ならばある程度まで話せます。ほかの言語の知識もあると、英語の知識も深まります。例えば、英語でなぜlightという綴りで「ライト」と読み、ghの部分は読まれないのか？など昔から疑問でしたが、オランダ語とドイツ語を勉強してこれがわかりました。また、フランス語やイタリア語を学ぶことで英語の単語のルーツがよりいっそう分かりやすくなったのもあります。また、ロシア語を学んでrobotがロシア語由来だということもわかりました。結構オタッキーな話していますが、興味あればぜひ聞いてください！

{Self Introduction}
Hi there everyone, you can just call me Aki!
I am an English and Japanese bilingual, born in the States, and currently a PhD student studying physics at the University of Tokyo. I spent my childhood to middle school years in the States, then moved to Japan and spent my highschool and university years here, which is the reason why I am actually fluent in both langues. I'll just post things about me that you might be interested in:
*Places I visited:
Thailand, Myanmar, India, Mexico, and the
Netherlands.
*Hobbies: Learning new languages(Dutch, German, Italian, Russian, French), doing martial arts(Taichi, karate, etc), and watching anime. I can hold a daily-life conversation in Dutch, French, Italian, Russian, and a tad bit of German, a lot of which I acquired through my dating experience with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Learning new languages have helped me better understand the origins of lots of English words, along with the weird idiosyncrasies about the English language, like why the word "light" is spelled the way it is but the "gh" is completely ignored. This motivated me to learn more about Japanese, too, and so I started looking up etymologies of Japanese words, too, so you can see I am a softcore language nerd!
{Teaching Experience}
I have some teaching experience in English in a study abroad agency, which includes the following:
* TOEIC and TOEFL test prep
*Company classes for career development
*Role-playing for working holiday job interviews

*I took the EIKEN exam and passed the top tier rank (ikkyu) when I was around 12
*TOEIC score 980/990 about 3 years ago.
