こんにちは 私は シャーメイン です 一緒に英語を学びましょう
よろしくお願いします
Hello! I’m Charmaine. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Although English is not my native language, I learned it at home at the age of 2, many thanks to my mom and late grandparents. My first school was Maria Montessori Cooperative School. I felt blessed and privileged. English was the main language and students came from different countries and cultures. It was a diverse and positive experience for me.
At home, watching Sesame Street, Double
Dare, Finders Keepers, or listening to Disney’s audio cassette tapes, these were all part of my childhood memories. I love English.
Fast forward today, I’m an English teacher/Assistant Language teacher at several elementary schools in Hamamatsu city. I’ve been living and teaching English in Japan for almost 5 years now. I have a 2-year teaching experience at a Japanese nursery school, one year teaching experience in a Japanese junior high school, and teaching at Japanese elementary schools for 3 years now.
Teaching and inspiring my kids, I mean my students, are such a rewarding and fulfilling job. I am grateful for the trust and strong relationships that I have built with the schools.
I am consistently investing in myself by taking courses for self-growth and career development, and challenging myself to be comfortable with uncomfortable circumstances. I also believe in the power of people, teamwork, and the importance of being a part of a community.
