10年間、日本で英語とオランダ語の教師として働いてきました。英語教師としての仕事に加え、ジャーナリストとしてもパートタイムで働いていますが、私の主な仕事は英語の先生です。3年前から英会話で文法と語彙を教えています。生徒さんは様々なバックグラウンドの方々です。以前海外に住んでいて英語力を維持したいお子様から初心者の方、ビジネス英語を向上させたいビジネスマンの方から、英語学習を趣味と考えている退職者まで。皆様のバックグラウンドや言語学習の目標が何であれ、私にとって最も重要なのは、皆様にとって楽しく安全な言語学習環境を作ることです。一緒に具体的なレッスンプランを立てていきたいと思っています。教科書を使ったり、特定のテキストの準備をしたりといった、しっかりとした内容のものから、カジュアルな会話だけのものまで様々です。レベルに合わせて、自宅で学習できる記事や動画、その他の教材も取り入れ、授業中にそれらについて話し合うこともできます。プライベートレッスンとグループレッスンの両方で豊富な指導経験があり、どちらも自信を持って指導できます。

Hello everyone,
My name is Bobbie, nice to meet you all.
I've been working in Japan as an English and Dutch teacher for the past 10 years. In addition to my work as an English teach I also work parttime as a journalist, though my main focus is teaching English. I started working at an English conversation school three years ago, teaching grammar and vocabulary. My students consist of people from all walks of life: from kids who used to live abroad and want to maintain their English level to beginners, and from business people who want to improve their business English to retirees who see learning English as a hobby. Whatever your background or language learning goal, the most important thing for me is to create a fun and safe language learning environment for you. Together I'd like to set up a specific lesson plan, whether that is something very structured including textbooks and preparing for specific texts or just having casual conversations. Depending on your level I can also include articels/videos and other materials you can study at home, and we can then discuss during class. I have extensive experience teaching private classes, as well as group classes, so I'm comfortable doing both.
