Hello! I'm a native English speaker living in Japan and eager to help students achieve their English language goals! My teaching style is rooted in the skills and knowledge that I have developed as a formally trained linguist and my intuitions as a multilingual who has a firm understanding of cross-linguistic similarities and differences. I value individualized teaching that focuses on learners' independent (language) journeys and goals: my students can thereby expect individualized lesson plans that prioritize their personal language needs and objectives. Additionally, my lessons will strive to provide students with a safe learning environment in which they feel comfortable and confident as such attitudes ultimately support educational (and language learning) success.
