私は東京在住のアメリカ・ブラジルのハーフです(育ちはL.A.-California)。スポーツ・映画・音楽全般的に興味があり、人の趣味についても楽しく話すことが大好きです。
言語教育の専門家として（言語教育修士号・博士課程修了）、12年間の教育経験を積んできました。1000人以上の学生を育てた経歴を誇る超経験者です。現在は都内の大学で専任として務めていますが、サイドビジネスとして「英語に困っている」と思っている方をできるだけ多くお手伝いしたいと思っています。しかし、本業があるため、プライベートティーチャーとしては週に６人までしか見られませんので、ご連絡をお早めにください！（22年4月現在は席が2つ空いています）。
レッスン料は他のネイティブ教師より少し高めですが、以下のレッスンの流れをご覧いただければ、納得いただけるかと思います：
基本的なレッスンの流れ（学生の要望次第で変更可能）：
１）毎回のレッスンの4日〜5日前に、まず私から学生の興味のある分野や仕事している分野などに関連する文章をお送りします。学生がそれを出来る範囲で構いませんので、事前に読んでからレッスンに出てもらいます（読む力を培う)。
２）レッスンではコミュニケーションに力を入れ、学生と会話をしていきます。さらに、事前に取り組んでいただいた文章で分からなかった単語や文法を一緒に勉強していきます（聞く力、話す力を培う、文法力や語彙力を培う）。
３）レッスン後には、宿題としてレッスンで会話した話題等をめぐる文章を書いてもらいます（書く力を培う）。それを学生からメールで送って頂きます。
４）最後に私がその作文を訂正し、コメントを付けた上で、また同じくメールで学生に返します。
この大体の流れで、各レッスンでは四技能を育てていきます。イメージできたでしょうか？

My name is Pedro, thank you for reading my profile! I am a American/Brazilian language education specialist (I own a Master's degree/ I am a PhD/doctorate candidate) from Los Angeles residing in Tokyo. I love sports, movies and music in general. Also love to talk about students' hobbies and learn from them.
I am proud to say I am a veteran of 12 years experience in teaching, having taught over 1000 students of all ages. I have had the pleasure to experience the magical process of helping students achieve various types of language learning goals, and nothing is more fulfilling to me!
I am currently working full-time at a private Japanese University as a language education specialist, where I lead a team of language teachers in an international exchange center. However, as I am addicted to teaching and learning languages, I am willing to use my limited free time to help out as many people as I can!

I realize my lesson fee might seem a little steeper than the usual native teacher, but if you read my basic lesson structure below, I GUARANTEE you will see why!
Lesson Structure (subject to change depending on students' requests):
1) I will send you a text from a website or a paper about something related to your hobbies/job/interests/goals 3 to 4 days before our lesson. You will try to read the text to the best of your capabilities before meeting me for the lesson (it is ok if you cannot understand parts or most of it).
2) Upon meeting, we will practice conversation (we will talk about your hobbies/job/goals/etc.) and study lexicon/grammar/etc. unknown to you in the text previously sent by me.
3) After the lesson, I will ask you to write a small text about what we discussed in class, again to the best of your capabilities. You will then send the text to me via email.
4) I will correct and comment on your text, sending it back to you immediately.
Through repetition of these 4 steps we will gradually improve your 4 basic language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing), slowly but surely helping you approach whatever your language learning goals are!!!
