Hello, everyone! My name is Gabriel and I come from Venezuela.
One of the things that I have learned throughout the years is that one of the best ways to get to know the culture, traditions, and ways of life of a country is using the language as a vehicle.
Words are powerful and, like any powerful item, if used correctly, it can serve as a mean to bring people and cultures closer, showing to the other person that not everything that they read on a book or watch at the TV or the internet is as magnificent or terrifying as they perceive.
Showing you that hidden part your eyes cannot reach is one of my objectives for you to be able to learn. Many things can be learned through a simple conversation and this is not only for you. I will also learn from what you know and want to show me.
I am a newcomer here in Japan, and that is why I am willing to discover everything this country has to offer. But also, I have lived my whole life in South America (almost 13.000 km away!) and so, I have a lot to show to you too. And also because of that, my perspective of things may contrast with yours... but that's also an opportunity for us to not only learn from each other but also grow from lesson to lesson.
