こんにちは!
Hello students of all ages interested in learning English!
I was born in Japan and moved to the US when I was a baby. I was raised in New York City and went to college in California. I came back to Japan a week after the earthquake on March 11th, 2011 to pursue Japanese fluency (yes, I wanted to learn more Japanese!).
I know that learning a language can be difficult (I’m also learning Spanish myself), but the most important thing is to have fun. Being bilingual is cool. I have several years of experience teaching students of all ages (from 8 to 80 years of age) and I want to make sure that your English learning experience can be as enjoyable and successful as possible!
※ My lessons mainly have been in the form of conversation and eikaiwa for students of all ages, with conversation topics ranging from current events (like what’s going on abroad?), personal experiences (like finding the best hamburger joint in Japan, or how you want to quit your job to pursue your dreams), philosophy (why are we here?), and pop culture (especially fashion, art and music).
※ I’ve helped elementary to junior high school students in homework and studying for upcoming exams.
※ Reading beginner English books with elementary school students.
Writing essays for American University applications with junior high school and high school students.
※ I can also prepare materials if you don’t know your level!
※ Planning a trip to New York or California? I can even help you with the best places to stay, eat, and have fun (New York is my home!)
I live near Yokohama but can travel to places like Shibuya or Shinjuku, so don’t hesitate to contact me if your area isn’t listed. I work during the weekday, but I can be flexible with time and location so feel free to contact me at any time!
よろしく!
Sincerely,
Ryosuke
