Hello my name’s Sam I’m 39 and I’m from the UK. I have a bachelor of arts in Linguistics and TESOL and I’ve been living and teaching in Japan for around 6 years. During my time here I’ve worked in a large Ekaiwa, an international kindergarten and I know work as an assistant language teacher (ALT) in a junior high school.
When I was 21 I went backpacking in Canada and decided I wanted to live in many countries, so I became an English teacher.
As well as teaching I’m interested in fitness, outdoors and hiking and traveling in Japan.
I have a lot of teaching experience here in Japan. I have taught children as young as 2 years old all the way to retirees including professionals such as doctors, lawyers and businessmen and women.
I have experience teaching all aspects of English such as the four skills of reading, speaking, writing and listening and have helped prepare students for many different kinds of tests such as TOIEC, TOFL and Eiken. I can also teach you correct English pronunciation, conversation strategies and idioms to help you understand movies and tv shows.
So if you’re looking for a fun and engaging teacher who enjoys helping people to get the best out of their English then why not message me and I’ll look forward to speaking to you soon.
