My name is Ken, and I’ve been teaching English for almost ten years now, and it’s my favorite kind of work. I love seeing my students progress and improve!
My approach to teaching is to help my students learn to have interactive conversations where they can ask questions and learn more about the world. I teach with a grammar based approach, but I also teach students who don’t like textbooks and want conversation practice! I always assign a little homework as well.
My hobbies are cooking and drawing. I also enjoy studying languages, and speak fluent French as well as a little Italian.
I love that this job lets me meet many different kinds of people with different backgrounds, interests, and professions.
I was raised speaking both English and Japanese at home, so I can teach English in Japanese if it will help you to improve.
