Dear student,
For a long time I have been interested in Japan and its culture. This interest has gone to such an extend that I studied the language and culture at University and have recently moved to Japan to live with my girlfriend and build up something special. Given my experiences back home, working in language education would be the ideal position to start a new life here in Japan.
I have experience as a workshop teacher for young children to adolescents in comic drawing classes and basic Japanese language skills. Although I am not from a country where English is the native language, I deem myself on the same level as a native speaker. This because of an almost daily usage of the English language as either written or spoken. Next to that I am fully proficient in Dutch and fluent in German. Japanese is still on a basic conversational level, but is improving rapidly.
Teaching has always been a very rewarding job for me, as giving knowledge to people is fun and motivating. This is because you can not only transfer the basic knowledge and skills, but also provide you (the student) with additional information and wisdom outside of the curriculum. Especially with language, in my opinion, 1-on-1 interaction is one of the major keys in mastering communication skills.
I hope to hear from you soon!
