こんにちは！私の名前は**Khanty（カンティ）です。友達からはKhan（カーン）**と呼ばれています。カナダのトロント出身です。

私は英語を母国語とするネイティブスピーカーです。カナダ東部のニューブランズウィック州バサーストで育ちました。
日本へ来る前は、カナダの金融業界で25年以上働いていました。最初はファイナンシャル・アドバイザーとしてキャリアをスタートし、その後、カナダの大手投資・金融機関でリスクマネジメント部門のゼネラルマネージャーを務めました。
長年の仕事を通して、コミュニケーション能力、相手の話をしっかり聞く力、忍耐力、そしてチームワークの大切さを学びました。現在は、その経験を英語教育に活かし、生徒の皆さんが自信を持って英語を話せるようお手伝いしています。
英語教師になった理由
日本へ移住してから、人の役に立てる新しい仕事をしたいと思い、英語教師になりました。
英語を教えることを通して、多くの素晴らしい方々と出会い、それぞれの目標達成のお手伝いができることに喜びを感じています。
新しい言語を学ぶことは、難しく感じたり、不安になったりすることもあります。だからこそ、安心してリラックスしながら楽しく学べる環境づくりを大切にしています。

スポーツと旅行が大好きです。
カナダ人らしく、子どもの頃からホッケーを愛しています。見ることもプレーすることも好きで、今でも大好きなチームはモントリオール・カナディアンズです。
また、サッカーや野球も好きです。
イングランド・プレミアリーグ、イタリア・セリエA、スペイン・ラ・リーガをよく観戦しています。
野球ではトロント・ブルージェイズのファンです。
もう一つの大きな趣味は旅行です。
世界各国を訪れ、それぞれの文化、人々、食べ物、歴史、そして生活を体験することが大好きです。
カナダには、
「働くのは旅をするため。旅をするために生きる。」
という言葉があります。
この言葉は、まさに私自身を表しています。
これまでに、アメリカ、キューバ、フランス、スペイン、イタリア、ギリシャ、タイ、インド、ラオス、韓国、そして現在住んでいる日本を訪れました。
旅先では、多くの場合、英語が共通言語として使われていました。
その経験を通して、英語を学ぶ皆さんが感じる難しさや不安をよく理解しています。
だからこそ、生徒の皆さんが安心して英語を話せるよう、全力でサポートしたいと思っています。

Hello! Nice to Meet You!
Hi! My name is Khanty, but my friends call me Khan. I am from Toronto, Canada. It is a pleasure to meet you, and thank you for visiting my profile!
I am a native English speaker. I grew up on the east coast of Canada in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Before moving to Japan, I worked in Canada’s financial industry for more than 25 years. I started my career as a Financial Advisor and later became a General Manager in Risk Management at one of Canada’s major investing and financing banks.
During my career, I learned how important good communication, careful listening, patience, and teamwork are. Today, I use these same skills to help my students learn English with confidence.
Why I Became an English Teacher
After moving to Japan, I wanted to continue helping people in a different way. Teaching English allows me to meet wonderful people while helping them achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.
I understand that learning another language can sometimes feel difficult or even a little scary. My goal is to create a relaxed and friendly environment where you can enjoy learning and become more confident every lesson.

My Hobbies
Outside of teaching, I enjoy sports and traveling.
Like many Canadians, I love hockey! I enjoy both playing and watching the game, and I have always been a proud supporter of the Montreal Canadiens.
I also enjoy soccer and baseball. I follow the English Premier League, Italy’s Serie A, and Spain’s La Liga. My favorite baseball team is the Toronto Blue Jays.
Another passion of mine is traveling. I enjoy experiencing different cultures through their people, food, history, and traditions.
There is a saying in Canada:
“I work and live to travel.”
That saying describes me perfectly.
I have traveled to many places, including the United States, Cuba, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Thailand, India, Laos, South Korea, and now Japan.
During my travels, English was often the common language used to communicate with local people. Because of these experiences, I understand many of the challenges that English learners face, and I enjoy helping students overcome them.
