Hi there! My name is Ola-Christine and I'm 31 years old. I am originally from Toronto, Canada and have been living and teaching English in Japan for over 5 years. I have an Honours Degree in Psychology from University of Waterloo in Canada, as well as a TEFL certificate. I have spent many years teaching both children and adults in private, group, and business settings. I also have a lot of experience in TOEIC and University Admission (Essays and Interview) prep.
I have a selection of textbooks (one in particular) that I prefer to use for the grammatical portion of the lesson, in combination with other print media (newspapers, articles, magazines, novels) free conversations and role-plays. I also urge my students to keep a weekly journal/ diary where they write about some interesting occurrences that happened in their daily lives each week.
I enjoy sports and outdoor activities, such hiking and picnics and sometimes hold lessons in Yoyogi Park (when the weather is warm).
