Hello everyone! For English language learning, I believe that the goal should be to speak clear English and be easily understood, and I will do my best to help you achieve your aims! My native language is English, and I have a British-American accent. However, I speak Japanese fairly fluently, so there should be few problems with communication. I'm also pretty easy to get along with, so please don't feel shy when talking to me!
こんにちは!はじめまして。フロリと申します。アジア系な人としても、国際学校で勉強しましたので、英語は一番流暢にしゃべれる言語です!^_^ 英語の勉強といえば、もっとも大切なのはクリアーな英語だと思います。私は、英語の先生として絶対に頑張ります!英語はもちろん、一応日本語でも説明できますので、レッソンはきっと楽になります。宜しくお願いいたします!
ABOUT LESSONS:
I will conduct lessons according to your goals in English language learning, and it is usually helpful if students are very clear on what they wish to achieve. My strengths are: helping with pronunciation, advising you on techniques for language learning, answering questions about English expressions (I am familiar with most of the latest slang, internet or otherwise, and most British and American idioms).
Examples of possible lessons:
1.
The student will read a short or long passage from a newspaper/magazine article/book. I will note down the difficult parts, and then we will review those words and phrases, correcting pronunciation and clarifying the meaning of those phrases. We may do some shadowing - I will read a sentence, and the student will repeat after me. The aim is to be able to read any kind of English text, whether seen or unseen, with confidence.
Students may choose their own texts, or leave it up to me.
2.
Free conversation lessons will be structured slightly - for example, we might talk about a specific topic for 10 minutes, while I take notes, and then we will review the contents and go over more natural expressions.
3.
For advanced students: the student will prepare a short speech on a specific topic and present it to me while I take notes. Then a Q&A session follows, where I ask questions about the content and the student replies with their own opinion in English. Lastly, we would review the presentation and discuss how the student could better their speaking, pronunciation and sentence construction. This would, I think, be good speaking and debate practice for advanced learners.
