I focus on teaching the parts that the students want to learn. I could also review previous English lessons she had in school, and/or we could study ahead of his/her class, to gain some advantage while in class.
Also the student can set the pace of the lesson, and I'm willing to extend the session up to two hours without the additional payment if that is what it takes to help the student learn.
The first twenty minutes of the class would be dedicated to the introduction of the topic, as well as explanation of uses/rules/guidelines. This would be free-flowing, to help the student relax.
The next twenty would be for practice, and this could be extended till the student gets the topic. Examples and models would be given.
The last remaining time if for some short test, where the student will be tested on how much he/she have learned about the topic.
