I love to teach English and my aim is to help as many people in Japan as possible to communicate diversely and internationally. As a Singaporean, my native tongue is British English, followed by Chinese. We Singaporeans are bilingual from birth, and i would love to harness my skills to help as many people in Japan as possible.
I'm a Singaporean citizen and am 24 years old. All Singaporean males have to undergo a mandatory military service of around 2 years. This means that i had been in the Singapore Infantry Army for 2 years before coming to Japan. I would love to share my adventures and experiences with you if you do choose me as your tutor!
My native language, spoken and written, is English. However, I can also converse in Chinese and Japanese. I love languages and communication, and my wish is to master Japanese and be an established trilingual.
As i have been learning various languages for a major portion of my life, i know the difficulty in learning languages, and i know how to teach students more relevantly. My aim is to let students realize that English is not a subject, but an important form of communication to connect to the whole world. I want to teach as much as i can and help many people in Japan bridge the communication gap across the world.
I believe in productive and relevant learning, and not textbook learning. I will use various platforms of entertainments, like videos, movies, and even Youtube, to teach English and let students realize that the learning of English is actually very fun. Of course, i will also change my teaching methods according to the student's wants and expectations. The student's wishes and aims will always be my priority.
I believe that many Japanese are able to write and read efficiently. However, it may be a bigger issue for these Japanese to speak with clarity and confidence. I am here to speak with you not only as a tutor, but also as a new-found friend. I wish i am given the opportunity to converse well with you, so as to give you the confidence to speak in all kinds of conversation.
I'm currently studying at Waseda University, and am at my sophomore year right now. I wish to know more Japanese people and not only help you in your English, but also make new friends as well. Let's be friends if possible!
どうぞよろしくお願いします!
