Hi everyone; my name is Philippe and i have been teaching French during 7 years for different language schools (E.F., International House...) to students from all over the world (but mainly hailing from China, Japan, U.S., Russia, Germany and Brazil)
I have a master degree of trainer in French as a Foreign Language and a Phd in Humanities
As an experienced teacher i can adjust to the pace of learning of students because i know the difficulties to learn a foreign language (i am studying Japanese too...)
-My method of teaching is based upon the requisite skills (beginners and intermediates) for communicating in the daily situations one encounters in France or/and at the office (i can teach business French also)
-Besides i can also teach academic French for the students of advanced level who need a better understanding of French writers and poets
-I usually start my lesson by asking the student to make an oral presentation of their hobbies, the books, cartoons manga, movies they like to help them getting confidence in talking in French
-After i have some tutorials related to the interplays in typical situations in France (welcoming, phone calls, meeting, partying, at the post office, department stores etc...)
-Between the lessons i give them some grammar quiz and if they want a small written homework about the topic they prefer
-I do not separate language and culture so that i give as much explanations as possible of how the French view the world and behave according their frame of reference
-I am also an English teacher for beginners and lower intermediates
