I think language is a tool that should be used to broaden perspectives, make friends and explore the world. Just like how I have learned Japanese and experienced a new world in Japan, I hope my students will use English to larger world around them.
I have 5 years experience working in Japanese junior high and elementary schools. I work very well with kids of all ages and can help them develop the skills they'll need to excel in the English learning environment. I also wish to give them a deeper understanding of nuance and communication. This is not taught in Japanese schools but is very important for making practical use of their language.
I also have experience teaching young adults, business people, and seniors. I can customize a curriculum that works best for you and learning goals.
