Hello!
I am in Japan for five months for an exchange semester at Waseda University. Please email me to
tell me what you want to learn- we can practice speaking if that's what you're aiming for, or focus on English language in more depth. For more depth, I like to teach by first having a discussion and trying some writing/reading tasks with my students, so that I know what their level is, and can understand their motivations, and expectations out of our class. Then, I provide reading materials and short assignments that we can check and discuss together, to understand where mistakes may be, and how these areas can be improved. I use a mix of writing, reading, speaking, listening and conversation exercises. For spoken English, having a conversation partner and learning new vocabulary words is important- so I like to focus on both. Besides this, some fun activities like having an excursion to watch an English movie together or something else of the sort (with team building games etc. in the presence of other English speakers), are all things I like to do with my students. If instead you need to prepare for an English exam, we can focus on that!
If this sounds like something you can benefit from, please send me a message so we can get to know one another and improve your English!
Looking forward to hearing back,
Arooj
