My name is Miriam, I am a native New Yorker. I have studied English linguistics and translation as well as global culture. Along with being a writer and translator my studies have led me to an interest in teaching English. I have an N3 JLPT certificate and speak fluently in Japanese.
I have been teaching English to both children and adults for several years now and teach either bilingually or using only English, depending on the student’s preferences and needs. While I focus on expanding student’s vocabulary as a matter of course, I simultaneously work with them to improve pronunciation. This includes helping students to differentiate between speaking styles. The last thing I work on with students is improving research and writing skills.
All levels are welcome from the most basic to advanced language learners.
Anyone can succeed in their studies! 頑張りましょう!
