講師のベロナと申します。
私は日本人の母とカザフ人の父を持ち、これまで日本とカナダの両方で生活してきました。カナダでは現地大学も含め英語を日常的に使ってきたため、自然な英語でのコミュニケーションができます。一方で、日本語も母語として使っているため、英語だけでは表現しきれない日本語の微妙なニュアンスや、日本人ならではの感覚もしっかり汲み取ることができます☺️
これまで、オンラインで日本の子どもたちに英語を教えたり、NativeCampの講師として、子どもから会社員の方、年配の方まで、さまざまな年代の方に英語を教えてきました。
今年3月までカナダで暮らしていましたが、現在は母の故郷である京都に戻ってきました。私は日本の文化が大好きで、裏千家茶道も学んでいます🍵
「一期一会」や「侘び寂び」、「静寂」、そして「思いやり」や「おもてなし」など、日本ならではの価値観をこれからも大切にしていきたいと考えています。
私は、英語を学ぶことは、単に外国語を話せるようになることだけではないと思っています。英語が話せる人が増えれば、日本人が世界中の人々と直接交流できる機会も増えます。そして、日本人が大切にしてきた思いやりやおもてなしの心を、世界の人々に伝えていくことにもつながると思います。
日本の良さを大切にしながら、世界とつながるための英語を身につける。そのお手伝いができたら嬉しいです💓
仕事で英語を使いたい方、海外旅行をもっと楽しみたい方、昔勉強した英語をもう一度学び直したい方、そしてお子さままで、一人ひとりの目的やペースに合わせて丁寧にサポートします。
日本語でのサポートもできますので、「英語は少し苦手…」という方も安心してください。もちろん、ご希望であればレッスンをすべて英語で行うこともできます。

My name is Verona:) Thank you for visiting my profile.
I’m half Japanese and half Kazakh, and I’ve had the opportunity to live in both Japan and Canada. I lived in Canada until this March, where I used English every day and studied at university. I’m fluent in both English and Japanese, and because I understand both languages and cultures, I can also help with the subtle differences in expression that can be difficult to explain in English. ☺️
I’ve taught English online to Japanese children and have also worked as a NativeCamp instructor, teaching learners of all ages, from children and working professionals to seniors.
I recently returned to Kyoto, my mother’s hometown, and I’m very happy to be back in Japan. I have always loved Japanese culture and currently study Urasenke tea ceremony. 🍵 I especially appreciate Japanese values such as ichigo ichie, wabi-sabi, seijaku, omoiyari, and omotenashi.
To me, learning English is about more than simply speaking another language. It gives us more opportunities to connect with people around the world and, in turn, share the thoughtfulness, hospitality, and respect that are such an important part of Japanese culture.
