初めましてスティーブンですカナダからきたました。私は26歳です。ワーキングホリデービザで日本を訪れています。日本語が拙くて申し訳ありません。
日本に来たのは、文化や言葉を学ぶためだけではありません。全く異なるライフスタイルを体験し、視野を広げ、新しい人々と出会い、心に残る経験を築くことも目的でした。これまでの人生のほとんどをカナダで過ごしてきましたが、世界をもっと見て回る必要があると感じたのです。いつか「こここそが自分の居場所だ」と思える場所を見つけるか、あるいは旅を続けていきたいと考えています。日本で多くの親しみやすい人々と出会い、素晴らしい友情を育むことができました。これからも素敵な人々との出会いを重ね、末永く続く友情を築き、人々の人生に良い影響を与えられるような、思い出深い物語を紡いでいければと願っています。
指導にあたっては、まず生徒さんの現在の能力や、好ましい学習スタイルを把握することから始めます。私の指導法を活かしつつ、生徒さんの学習スタイルに可能な限り合わせるよう努めています。単に「それが何であるか（事実）」を教えるだけでなく、「なぜそうなるのか（理由や背景）」を組み込んだ指導を心がけています。こうしたアプローチをとることで、生徒さん自身が知識や概念のつながりを理解できるようになると考えています。言葉や概念の関連性を学んでいくにつれて、説明を他者に頼る必要が徐々に減り、より自律的な学習が可能になるからです。
もし、仕事や学業のために英語力を高めたいとお考えなら、私とのレッスン時間以外でも学習を継続し、さらなる向上を図るためのツールや参考資料をご紹介します。何より重要なのは、サポートを求められる相手がいない状況でも、安定した成果を出せるようになることです。

Hello,
My name is Steven and I'm a 26 year old Canadian visiting Japan on a working holiday visa. I apologize in advance for my very poor Japanese skills.
I came to Japan to learn about the culture and learn the language. But I also came to experience a different lifestyle, broaden my horizons, meet new people, and create lasting experiences. I spent most my life in Canada and decided I needed to see the rest of the world. I hope to discover a place to call home for good, or keep travelling. I've met so many friendly people in Japan and made incredible new friendships. I aim to continue meeting amazing people, form lasting friendships, and leave behind a positive impact on everyone's life with memorable stories to share.
When teaching, I first like to get a feeling of your capabilities and your preferred method of learning. I do my best to adapt to your style of learning while still implementing my style of teaching. I like to teach more than just "what" something is - incorporating the "why" whenever I'm able to. I believe this methodology enables you to connect ideas on your own; delivering a greater independence of learning as you slowly became less dependent on another to explain ideas as you progressively learn the relationships between words and concepts.
If you are attempting improve your English for more professional or academic reasons, I will share tools and references to help you improve beyond the time spent with me, and more importantly achieve consistent results when you don't have anyone to ask for support.
