I hold an MA in Japanese Studies and have extensively studied International Relations and Area Studies. My international perspective is deeply shaped by my professional career and my time spent living across Guatemala, Estonia, and Egypt. This background allows me to go far beyond basic grammar—I help you understand the deeper historical, cultural, and political contexts behind global news.
I have extensive experience helping students push past the intermediate plateau to achieve true fluency. If you can handle daily conversation but struggle to express complex opinions on international affairs logically, my lessons are designed for you.
We will skip rigid textbooks and center our sessions entirely around your personal interests in current events, world history, and cultural exchange.
