Hey, I'm Chris.
I've been teaching English 1-on-1 for 8 years, and most of what I do is focused on business and professional English. My university background is in digital business and marketing, and through years of teaching professionals here in Japan, I've built up genuine working knowledge of the language used in pharmacy, finance, legal, and tech environments. I'm also TEFL certified.
If you work in one of those fields and feel like your English is holding you back — in meetings, emails, or just day-to-day communication — that's exactly the kind of thing I enjoy working on with people.
I also teach casual conversation and travel English, so it's not all serious. Outside of teaching I produce music and write books, and I try to bring a bit of that into lessons too — because enjoying the process matters.
