ハロー！ベンと申します。出身はイギリスのマンチェスターで、現在は日本に住んでいます。外国語に興味を持ち始めたのは中学生のころで、その時から語学や国際交流イベントに積極的に取り組んでいます。外国語以外の趣味は、人を笑顔にすることが好きで、お菓子作りもやっています。強みはキャラクターや人物のモデルを作ることです。どうぞよろしくお願いします！
３年間、ALTとして小中学校で英語の指導を行ってきました。また、ベトナム料理のレストランで英会話クラブを開き、市民向けの英語レッスンを担当した経験もあります。学校では、英語弁論大会で優勝した生徒のサポートをしたり、英検対策の指導にも力を入れてきました。TEFL（外国語として英語を教える資格）も持っています。
授業では、日常的な英語を中心に、ニュースや音楽などから取り上げた教材を大切にしています。学習のモチベーションをキープ出来るよう、さまざまなアクティビティーや宿題も用意していますので、やる気いっぱいで取り組んでいただけると嬉しいです。
新しい人と出会い、目標達成をお手伝いすることが大好きです。仲良くなりながら、問題点をしっかり押さえて英会話力を伸ばせるようなレッスンを行いたいと思います。教師というよりも「学習の相棒」として思っていただければ嬉しいですヽ(´▽｀)/
Hello. My name is Ben and I'm from England, though I currently live in Japan. I became interested in foreign language when I was a high school student, and I have been actively engaged in study and international events ever since. Aside from foreign languages, I am also an avid baker, and I love making people smile with my sweets. My strengths are making models of characters and people. Hope to help you study English soon!
I taught English in Japan for 3 years, working mainly in public schools. I also created and taught at English conversation clubs and debate clubs. I have experience working with many different levels of English, but work best with mature students. I passed my TEFL certificate in June 2021.
I place emphasis on using real world materials (news articles, songs etc.) in the classroom when it comes to learning a language. My teaching style is fun and varied in order to keep my students motivated!
I love meeting new people and helping them to reach their goals. I can give you personalised advice and support, helping you with any problem areas such as grammar, vocabulary, reading ability etc. Most importantly, I enjoy building relationships with my students, so please see me as a friend more than a teacher :-) I hope to see you soon!
