皆さん、こんにちは！カイルです。ここ9年間、日本に住んでいて英語を教えています。現在は、大学生や、仕事で英語を学ぶ必要がある社会人の方々を教えています。また、幼児や小学生を教えた経験もあります。様々なタイプの英語学習者と接してきました。レッスンの進め方については、生徒によって異なります。どんなスタイルのレッスンでも対応可能ですが、特に試験対策を希望する生徒とのレッスン経験は豊富です。また、大学でライティングを教えているため、英語ライティングの指導も得意分野です。英語の練習をしたいけれど、特に特定のスタイルでレッスンをしたいという生徒には、ニュース関連の教材（記事や時事問題など）を使うことが多いです。これらの教材は、幅広いトピックについて楽しく議論したり、真剣に取り組んだりできるので、とても効果的です。多くの教材には音声も付いているので、リスニングの練習をしたい生徒にも最適です。このようなレッスンは、生徒の語彙力向上に非常に効果的であり、同時に生徒同士の理解を深める絶好の機会にもなります。レッスンや生徒に関係なく、何らかのスキルを向上させたいと思っている人など、いろんな方に英語を教えられることを楽しみにしています!
Hello everyone! I am Kyle. I have been living in Japan and teaching here the last nine years. Currently I teach university students and working professionals who need to learn English for their jobs. However, I also have experience teaching young children and primary school students. Overall I have worked with every type of English learner. When it comes to how I carry out lessons, that mostly depends on the student. I am capable of conducting any style of lesson but have the most experience with students seeking test prep. In addition, because I am a university writing teacher, teaching English writing is also an area of expertise for me. For students who just want to practice English but don't have a specific style they want then I tend to use news related materials such as articles or anything about current events. These work great because they allow for discussion on a wide range of topics and can be either fun or more serious. Many of these materials also include audio which is great for students who want to practice listening comprehension. I do think that these types of lessons really help increase a student’s vocabulary and it is also a great way to get to know them in the process. Regardless of the lesson or students I always look forward to opportunities to teach anyone who wants to improve any skill in this wonderful country!
