Hello,
I have been teaching English conversation to various nationalities over the last 20 years though most of my experience lies with Japanese.
Let me tell you how my lessons are divided and how I use the time. I think it's important to give each student a limited time to speak freely.
I carry out my lessons first by starting with personal information for first 10 minutes with talk about the student's past week's activities. This
relaxes the student and allows the learning process to progress more smoothly and allows the true level of confidence to come through.
The next 45 minutes might be using a text of the student's choice while I answer questions from previous week's points to assure student understand all the material and is able to use the language. Instead of a text book we might use an article and or role play.
I always give a free first lesson with material I bring. This is only a sample lesson for purpose to let me find out the level of the student and goals and interests. At that point I can design a lesson to suit the student.
I look forward to you letting me help you with your English communication. I really enjoy my work and I'd like work with you.
Thank you for your time and interest.
Robert
