みかと申します。最近大阪に引っ越してきたアメリカ人と日本人のハーフです。ずっとアメリカに育って、大学の時日本語の勉強をしましたが、最初に日本語が全然話せなかったので、言語を学ぶのは難しいのがよく分かります！ですが、言語が話せるなら、自分の世界がもっと広くになるので、すごく面白いです。
人たちの英語力向上を手助けしたいです。どうやっているのは、全く人によって違います。色々な学習スタイルがあるので、私は人々が自分の学習スタイルを見つけ、英語を学びたいと思うように動機付けるのを手助けしたいと思っています。
例えば：
映画が好きだったら、毎週新し映画を自分で見て、その単語を勉強して、一緒に話します。
スピーチをするのが好きなら、毎週新しいスピーチを書くことができます。私はそれを編集しますので、あなたはそれを暗記して私の前で短いスピーチをすることができます。
また、音楽の歌詞や美味しいレシピを翻訳するのも楽しいです！
ロールプレイもできるし、日常生活の会話もできます。
やる気と学習スタイルは必要なので、それを見つかったら、一緒に英語の勉強をがんばりましょう！
私は三年間ぐらいプライベート英会話クラスを教えた教育経験があります。また、父は日本人なので、非ネイティブスピーカーと話すのはよくできます。私は日本語を話せますし、日本の文化も理解できるので、安心していただけると思います。

My name is Mika. I'm a half Japanese American who grew up in the US and recently moved to Osaka! I didn't grow up speaking Japanese and instead had to learn it in college. At first, I hardly knew anything, so I understand the challenges and difficulties of learning a foreign language. However, learning a foreign language opens your world up so much and can lead to all sorts of fun and interesting experiences. Personally, learning Japanese has been life changing!
I want to help people improve their English. How to do this changes for every person because there are many different learning styles. I want to help my students find their learning style and teach through that, which will hopefully lead to self motivation, which is crucial to successfully learn a language.
Some examples of teaching styles:
If you like movies, every week we can watch a new movie on our own. You'd study the related words and we could talk together about what we thought.
If you like giving speeches, you can write a new speech every week. I will edit it so you can memorize it and give a short speech in front of me.
Translating things you're interested in can also be a lot of fun! For example, song lyrics, recipes, news articles, etc.
We can also do role-play and have conversations about daily life.
You need motivation and a learning style, so let's find it and work hard to study English together!
I have about three years of teaching experience private English conversation classes. Also, my father is Japanese, so I am good at speaking with non-native speakers. I can speak Japanese and understand Japanese culture, so I think you can feel at ease.
