Bonjour ^^
Enchantée! Hajimemashite!
I am an experienced french teacher and documentary photographer living in Kamakura since last April.
Before that I lived in Tokyo for 3 years and experienced real Inaka life for one year in Minami-Boso.
I came from the sunny Provence in the south of France.
After graduated in litterature in Paris i lived few years in London where i studied photography and taught french language.
I also lived for a year in Berlin and few months in Vietnam where i taught french and english in schools and in one orphanage.
I combined my two passion, litterature and photography and started to work as a documentary photographer after moving to Japan from 2009. I taught french in Tokyo during two years and had various kind of students from 3 years old to 65.
I loved french language through my litterature studies and it is a real passion to try to communicate it and help my students to develop their interest for this, not easy, but beautiful language!
My interests are very wide. I love arts: litterature(french and japanese authors especially), contemporary dance, cinema, music. I recently started to learn saxophone, a long time dream. I am also interested in ethnology, architecture, geopolitics, philosophy.
And of course food and wine!
I believe that learning language is before all finding an angle of interest, make it lively and connect it to what students like.
I am very flexible about the type of support you wish to work with. It can be textbooks, newspapers, litterature, movies, or simply conversation.
A solid grammar base is very important, as you might know french language doesn't have an easy one, but i like to think that is important to find a good balance and also trigger your interest!
I am very much looking forward to meet you, help you and enjoy learning french together!
