はじめまして!
マイク(Mike)ともうします。
Hello! My name is Mike, I am 21 years old, and an undergraduate exchange student at Waseda University. Here at Waseda University, I am studying Japanese and I am taking some other courses. The faculty is called SILS (School of International Liberal Studies). When I was 18 years old, I moved from my family in the Netherlands to Norway to start studying at a high school. After graduating from the high school I started studying Computer Science at the Arctic University of Norway. I am in my 3rd year right now. My entire 3rd year will be done at Waseda University as an exchange year. I have been here for one semester right now, and I have still one more to go. I am still really excited about Japan! I love everything about Japan so far: the food, the people, the transport system, the restaurants, cafes, coffeeshops, the language, culture.... everything seems to be so nice!
After being in Japan for several months, I want to teach English to people in Japan. It will be my first experience of officially teaching English to people. I am thinking of meeting at a coffeeshop or cafe (or maybe izakaya) to teach English. I can also easily come to your preferred place. I am very flexible at meeting times. I have 2 months of spring holidays right now and I did not make any specific plans yet, so I am still available almost anytime.
In the trial lesson I will ask you how you want to be teached English, how you need help, or in what field you want to improve. If you do not really know, we can just try to start talking and I will find out how you could improve. I will do my best to make you feel comfortable!
I took the TOEFL test one time, in December last year. My score was 101. I can help you prepare the TOEFL if needed.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am have an open personality and I am considerate. Sending me an email in Japanese is OK!
どうぞよろしくおねがいします!
